John Yohall. Aeronautical journalist and photographer for Flight magazine. Mr. Yoxall participated in the Ascot Races police traffic surveillance flight and reported favourably. He was a pioneer in air-to-air photography during WWII and was later promoted to the role of Air Corrrespondent, covering RAF operations in France (to the extent censors permitted) during WWII. In addition to the photographs of R36 (“A Day Out in the R.36” in Flight. June 23, 1921. P. 420), Yoxall wrote into the 1960’s, referring to R36 in “Long Look Back: RFC and RAF Experiences, 1913-1962” appearing in the May 17, 1962 issue (p. 777).
