Charles Brehmer Heald, Lt. Col. CBE Chief Medical Advisor, Civil Aviation.
(B. 3 Dec 1882, D. 9 Feb 1974). Heald was a physician who played a major role in setting standards for pilot health and fitness and aviation medicine. He had served in the Royal Navy as a medical officer before serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps.
Medical Officer Heald flew on the second flight of R36, from Inchinnan to Pulham on April 2-3, 1921.
