Arthur William Norcott was born in Royston on 12.08.1901 and was the son of a head stableman. It is believed that his family moved to Bedford around 1910. (Information supplied by the Royston & District Family History Society. *Jan 2016 – Norcott Mead a new street on the old RAF Cardington site is named after Arthur Norcott.
Tragically, lost his life in the loss of the R101 on 5th October 1930.
