Acting Cox Charles Bernard Olliver was part of the R33 and R36. His duties included maintenance and refurbishment of minor control wires. He received the civilian Meritorious Service Award on May 19, 1925 for “conspicuous devotion to duty in circumstances of exceptional difficulty and danger on board H.M. Airship R.33 on 16 April 1925” when R33 broke away from the Pulham mast and drifted over the North Sea before being sufficiently repaired in flight to safely return to Pulham.
