Leslie Frederick Oughton (B. 1901. D.5 Oct 1930) was born in St. Pancras and appears to have joined the RAF around the end of WWI (at the age of 18), serving on HMA No. 24. He also served on R33, R36 and R101. He assisted in the refitting of minor controls during R36 refurbishing in 1924, thus he was based at Pulham for a significant time. He later moved to Shortstown, living at 11 Eastcote when working as part of the R101 team. He was killed in the R101 crash on Oct. 5, 1930.
