Rigger, Samuel Church was born on 10.02.1904 in Cardington, Bedford. He joined the R101 crew, and Samuel survived the crash and was taken to the local hospital in France. He had sent a telegram to his father informing his family not to worry as he was safe. Sadly, he later died in hospital.
